EFD software accelerates to 64 bits

The latest version (7.3) of Flomerics’ Engineering Fluid Dynamics (EFD) analysis software suite includes 64-bit processor support for increased analysis power, speed and user convenience, Catia v5 r17 support in both 32- and 64-bit formats and an integrated interface with MSC Patran for finite element analysis.
The new capabilities are available for EFD.Pro, a fully embedded CFD solution within the Pro/Engineer environment, EFD.v5, a fully embedded CFD solution within Catia, and EFD.Lab, a general purpose fluid analysis tool that includes a built-in solid modeller.
The integrated interface with MSC Patran helps engineers solve design problems involving both fluid and structural issues. Fully integrated into Patran, the interface drastically reduces the amount of time necessary for updating analysis models.
